NFL app is back in business after outage
The NFL app has been back up and running again after being knocked offline in the wake of an outage that began Wednesday.
The NFL tweeted late Wednesday that the app had been restored to its service, but did not provide any further details.
A message left for the league office was not immediately returned.
The app, which connects fans to the NFL’s mobile-friendly websites, was taken offline during the storm on Dec. 11.
The storm caused an outage of NFL.com, a live-streaming site for the NFL that allows fans to follow games.
Fans could no longer access that site after the app was restored.
NFL.tv, which also relies on the app for streaming games, was offline until the storm was over.
The league did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The team said Tuesday it would be bringing back the app after the storm is over.
